CONTEST FOR GOVERNOR'S CUP.
HAMILTON, Jan. 30. At the Waikato Caledonian meeting, for the Governor's cup for the competitor gaining most points during the meeting;, A. Campbell and V. Branson tied. They agreed to run 440 yards, to decide who was to be the holder, and after a tremendous struggle Campbell won by six inches.
