Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cabled advice from their London office:—
Wool Sales: Sales continue active. Competition is brisk, and buying general from all quarters. Fof merino wools fine quality prices are rather higher, and for greasy crossbred wools suitable for America prices are 2A per cent, higher. Tallow: There is a fair demand, but tln^ market is unchanged. Frozen Meat: Mutton and lamb are firm, but prices are unchanged./ There is a fair demand for small arrivals, which clear readily. There are no stocks of beef on hand.
Messrs A. H. Turnbull and Co., Christchurch, report having received the following cable from Messrs Weddel and Co., Ltd.. relating to butter prices in London, dated January' 26: New Zealand, first grade salted butter. l*33s; ditto, unsalted, 1335; Danish, 1375. Market, quiet but firm.
