Signor Montero Bustamente, Consul in Australasia for Uruguay, left Wellington on Friday fdr Sydney by, the Llimaroa to meet the embassy'of six agricultural engineers of Uruguay, vrho are to visit New Zealand next month, after, a tour through ' Australia. They are due to arrive at the Bluff on February 26. In the south they will visit Invercargill', Temuka, Winchester, Longbeach, Christchurch, and the Canterbury Agricultural College. The embassy will arrive iv Wellington on Friday, March 1, and leave immediately by train for Napier. On Saturday they will visit Te 'Mata, Arataki, and Maraekakaho estates and Mr Donnelly's station. They will be at Palmerston North on Monday, March 4, arid will visit Mr Short's farm amongst others. On the Tuesday, following, the Mcumahaki State farm will be inspected, and some of the dairies round Hawsra will be inspected on Wednesday. Thursday will be spent at the Weraroa |State Farm. The embassy will return to Wellington on March 8, and will leave the same day by the Tahiti for San Francisco. During the absence of the Consul the office of the Consul will be in the charge of, Mr W. J. Prouse, recently appointed vice-Consul for Uruguay.
