A PRISONER'S DEATH

AUCKLAND, Jan. 28. Edward Kirby, a prisoner from Mount Eden Gaol, died in the hospital under circumstances which are considered to warrant a coroner's enquiry. Kirby was serving seven years*' hard labor, and had been incarcerated since 1908. He is said to have suffered from miner's complaint.
