The totalisator records for the Wellington meeting were smashed to pieces, the previous "best" being exceeded in several instances. The total ngures for the day , were £35,091, against £14,217 for the corresponding day of last summer meeting. Following are the results:—
Mungaroa Handicap—Blakeney 1, Tripoli 2, Turna 3. Scratched: Beacon. A good race, won on-the post. Time, 1.30 2-5. ■<..-•
January Welter.—Sea Queen, 1: Idealism, 2; Kauroa, 3. Scratched: Golden Loop and Blakeney. Won by a length and a lialf. vTime, *1.42 2-5.
Wellington Stakes.—Ermengarde 1Autumnus, 2; Glade, 3. Scratched: Rangiatua, Sinapis, Vaiido, Neirene,. Obligant, Rongopai, and Submersion. Time, 1.1 1-5. ■

Douro Cup Handicap.—Heatherbrae, 7.11 (C. Emerson), 1; Sanguinary, 5.4, 2, Smapis, 8.11, 3. Also started: Odessa, Beacon, Makara, Outward, Seraphic, LadyiKilcheran, Ladrone, Taonui, Dirge. Odessa had pride of place for two furloi'gs, and then gave way to Heatherbrae, who finished well ahead of the field. Time, lmin. 15sec. ■ .
Disposal Stakes.—Naumai, 8.8 (B Deeley), 1; Big Blast, 8.8,. 2; All Guns, 8.8, 3. Also started: Ballyshannon, Emma, Aema, Inveran, Biddy. Papatere. Nauinai jumped out in 'front and won all the way, finishing three lengths ahead of Big Blast. Time, lmin. 2 2-5 sec.
Metropolitan Handicap.—Bronze, 7.9 (C. Browne), 1; Gladiole, 8.10, 2; Dearest, 8.1, 3. Also started: Culpritj Gipsy Belle, Full Rate, Hermia, Faunus* Khamsin, Merry Frank, Longstep, and Purakau. Culprit took charge for a furlong, and was then displaced by Gipsy Belle, who fell away at the distance. Bronze, coming with a late run, secured the verdict by a length. Time, lmin. 15 sec.
