MELBOURNE, Jan. 22. The Commonwealth impoi'ts last year were valued at £66,860,303, an increase of £6,186,843 on the previous year. The exports were £79,484,226, 'including £12,060,831 in specie and bullion, a total increase of £4,993,076.
exports were valued at £4,637,----472, an increase of nearly £700,000. Exports' of wheat amounted to £9,623,142, a decrease of £310,000, and wool to £21,412,143, a decrease of £7,365,000. The net revenue from Customs and Excise was £13,561,119, an increase of £1.250,000. SYDNEY, Jan. 22. The Iris experienced rough weather on the final stages of her journey, and* was unable to quite finish the cable survey.
The last Sydney eight-hour demonstration yielded a profit of over £8000.
