A majority of the ruling chiefs of Northern India have applied to the Government for 'sites for houses in Delhi. The agitation against the transfer of the capital has been revived in Calcutta. The Bengal Chamber is drafting a protest, and Englishmen strenuously oppose the change on the ground of expense and ignoring public Jeeling.
