MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Business as follows was dealt with by Mr W. G. K. Kenrick, S.M., at the Courthouse, Hawera, io-day:—

Whai. Pakanga, -charged with having procured liquor during the currency of a prohibition order against him, was fined £1. with 7s costs.

At the request of Mr G. H.. Ryan, who appeared Qn behalf of Henry o'H.ara, charged with having procured liquor during the currency of a prohibition order against him, the 'hearing of the case was allowed to stand over for a week.

Ellenor Gilchrist Grame Scott, charged with the theft of a cheque for £1, the property of John Wilson, of Pal•merston North, was remanded to appear at Palmerston North on the 23rd inst.
