Stead, is suing to recover £1100 advanced to a tradesman on a bill transaction to oblige Princess Wiasomsky. ■Mr Stead said he made her acquaintance through the Dowager Empress of {Russia-at "the Hague Conference. The transaction arose, through} the renting of a house in Dulwich.

Mr. Stead already has judgment for '£7000 •against the Princess. He held security in connection with the present advance, but returned it to oblige her.
