ELECTRIC PICTURES.
The programme Resented at the.Electric Theatre on Saturday evening was fully up to the high standard which has been always maintained by the management. Of the several exclusive dramatc films exhibited, one that stirred the audience to much excitement depicted the "holding-up" of a lonely rail- / way station by a gang of desperadoes, / who had contrived that one of their J number should gain admittance to the \ freight room where a large sum of " money was temporarily stored, in a coffin, which, according to the gang's, story, contained the body of a mate to be shipped to his home in the EasternStates of America for burial. When all ' is still the coffin lid rises, but the agent, perceiving this, piles heavy luggage upon the coffin before the concealed" rogue can emerge, and: while the othermembers of the gang are battering in j the doors, the officer also telegraphs for/ \ help, which arrives in time to frustrated the would-be robbers. Italian war pic- A tures, scenes from the Delhi Durbary. and a number of other excellent dramatic and comic nieces, completed' a first-class programme. Suitable music was provided by the Hungarian Orchestra.
