MINE WORKERS AND POLITICS.
NEW YORK, Jan. 18. The united mine workers of America in convention at Indianopolis favored Government ownership of industries. The\ Socialists launched a resolution seeking^ endorsement of their 'policy as the political part of the working class. A t stormy debate followed. The question was finally adjourned. Many speakers objected to pledging mineworkers to a political party.
