The club competitions have been delayed a good deal this season owing to the unfavorable weather, but on Hawera green several are well advanced. In the champion singles Rev. Mr Shore leads with eight wins and one loss, all other players being considerably behind. In the handicap singles Mr Shore has ten wins and one loss, and Mr R. Hicks has ten wins and two losses. ■ r

The players chosen by the match committee to represent the club at the tournament to be held at Patea, and Waverley in February are: Parrington, Foy, Parkinson, R. Hicks, J. R. Shore, W. Robertson, Reilly, Wilkie, with Keen and Curtis as reserves.
