WELLINGTON HARBOR LOAN

WELLINGTON, Nov. 22. Mr R. Fletcher, chairman o? the Wellington Harbor Board, announced at a meeting of the Board to-night that the Board had raised a loan of £50,000 in Wellington at 4 per cent. - interest at par, with the right to take from £1000 to £8000 per month as required. The Board's financial position enabled reductions in port charges to be made as follows: Harbor improvement rate, 2d per ton; inward wharfage on general goods, 2d per ton; concession in regard to manures and phosphates, 8d per ton.
