HOBART Nov. 22. In the Assembly, Mr Earle, Leader of the Labor Party, opposed the travelling allowance of the Governor, included in the estimates and declared that a State Governor was unnecessary. The proper link between the State and the Throne was the Governor-General. If the people wanted pomp and show at their ceremonies let them pay for it. It was a tin-pot aristocracy that wanted to kow-tow to the Governor, who desired him to travel to this place and that.
