SHEEPSKINS, HIDES, AND TALLOW SALE.

The Wellington branch of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Ltd., advise as follows , under date ?Nov. 17:—There was a good competition at to-day's skin and hides sales. Buyers were in full attendance, and prices were better for skins-by Jd per lb, and hides were well competed for ai slightly higher rates than Mast sales. Tallow was in good demand at an advance We quote: Sheepskins.—Crossbred, fine, 6sd to 7d per lb; crossbred, medium, 6d to 6*d; crossbred, coarse o. T d to s§d; crossbred, short wools, 4d i ' ( cT ossbred. damaged and broken, £ i j ' crossbred 5 g'-een, 4s 4d to 7s Id each; crossbred pelts. 6d to Is 2d each.

Hides.—Ox medium, g|d to 6|d per 1 \? X i l£ ht > 6d to 6 *d5 cow, 6d to 6id; faulty hides, 3d to 6d; calfskins, sound best, B^d to 9 5-8 d; calfskins sound Boconds 7d to 8d; calfskins, hamaged, 3d to 33d; cowtails, Is 5d per dozen. I allow .—ln tins 20s to 24s 6d per <wt. Rough fat, 19s per cwt.
