WELLINGTON, July 31. This afternoon the Speaker of the House of Representatives received a formal notification that the death or Mr T. E. Taylor, late member for Christchurch North has been registered. The House will be asked to pass a resolution ordering the issue of a warrant to clerk of writs for an election. The writ will be returnable within 21 days, and as a week must be allowed for a possible second ballot, the date of election must be about a fortnight hence.
