GISBORNE, July 31. The Maori footballers at present on tour met Poverty Bay on Saturday afternoon in fine weather. The ground was greasy as the result of the recent rains. The local team was by no means a representative one, several experiments being tried in the personnel by introducing junior players. Tlie visitors showed excellent combination in the back divison, and eventually won rather easily by 19 points to6.
