A GUN ACCIDENT.

BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. TAIHAPE, May 8. While lifting a gun through a wire fence yesterday William Paradine, a roadman, residing near Pungataua, had his right forearm shattered. It is supposed that the hammer caught the wire. Fortunately Dr Boyd was near at hand, and rendered first aid. He sent the sufferer into town. Paradine is progressing satisfactorily. If his arm is saved there is little hope that his hand can be used again.
