SCHOOLBOY AVIATOR.
— 1 — : PASENGER WITH MR GRAHAME WHITE. A schoolboy who will' be envied by all other boys is Master Stanley Lewi*' uge, eleven- At Hendon, on March l'th, he flew for over seventeen miles with Mr Grahame-White in his biplane, finishing with an aerial dive from a height of 1000 ft. The schoolboy is the son of a friend of Mr Grahame-White. Several months ago Mr White promised to take him for a flight. Mr White forgot the incident, but the boy did not. He went to Hendon on Saturday, found Me White, and reminded him of his promise. Mr White was about to make flight. "Jump up," he said, and Master Lewin climbed into the passenger seat behind the airman. He rose to an altitude of 18,00 ft, and flew all round , the neighboring country. Then, when he was 1000 ft above the aerodrome, Mr White shut off his engine and glided down. As he came plaining towards the ground the boy raised himself in his seat arid waved his hand to the crowd below. "I was not in the least frightened," he said afterwards. "All I want »ow is another flight. I shall try to get Mr White to take me up again. The glide down to the ground when ,we landed was simply splendid. There is nothing to feel frightened about in flying. The machine moved so smoothly through the air. The pilot seems tp have perfect eontroal over it. The view you get of the country below is fine, too."
