L Hendricks a camtahst and C. R. Burnham, audit °r °* *& South Belt Telephone Company. The fight followed a quarry ov?r young Mrs Burnham, the husband accusing Mr Hendricks of paying too much attention to her. Burnham found Hendricks and Mrs Burnham together at a table in the crowded restaurant and began to denounce Hendricks. The men come together and fought furiously with knives Hendnck's face was cut to ribbons and he was stabbed in other places. When the fight was at its height Mrs Burnham rushed between the two men and tried "to stop them. Her sleeve and waist were ripped, and one hand was badly gashed. When faint from loss of blooS Hen-? dricks and Burnham were separated. Burnham says Hendricks has led Mrs Burnham astray and that he will sue for £20,000 for alienation.
