JOHNSON v. JEFFRIES FIGHT.
This fistic encounter for the world's championship, fought at Reno in July last between Jack Johnson and.Jim Jeffries, will be re-enacted per medium of the biograph at Wilkinson's Hall, Eltham, on Monday night. No picture enterprise has created such widespread interest, and the MacMahon Bros., who control the sole Dominion rights, say: "We don't argue about the ethics of boxing. That is not our business. This fight was a big thing in the world, and made a terrible big noise. We seized the opportunity to show our patrons exactly what this fight was, and how its was fought. That is our business." Diversified views of cinematograph novelties will constitute the first portion of the programme. Popular prices will be charged.
