POTATOES.
The Victoria arrived with a shipment of 1947 sacks from the _ South. The market at the present time is rather better supplied, and merchants are in a position to execute their orders. Southern growers are still very firm in their demands, and it is impossible to buy potatoes for forward delivery unless at an advanced price. From latest advices from the South the little ram that they have had so far has done good. The price is £6 10s.—Auckland Weekly News.
