A SERIOUS AFFAIR

SEVERAL PEOPLE BADLY

INJURED

A Stratford resident informed a Star reporter this morning that the fire which destroyed the Trocadero buddings was discovered between 1 and 2 o'clock, and was the biggest blaze seen in Stratford for some years. The whole block seemed to collapse simultaneously. Four people, including a couple ot ladies, were seriously injured, and are in the hospital, while a number ot others also received nasty cuts about the face. One of the ladies in the hospital, it is feared, is in a critical state, having received severe injuries while jumping from a window or a verandah.

At the time of writing (midday) nc information had been received from the Press Association.
