• (Received April 6,11 a.m.) PERTH, April 6. One of. the bullets fired by the Menzies mine gold robber cut a button off the constable's coat, and the other cut the cloth at the shoulder. The constable was unarmed, and returned to the police station. He came back with a companion, and discovered that the robber had returned and secured the abandoned bicycle and the bag containing the slimes. Failing to obey the constables' order to stand, they fired three shots at the fugitive, who again abandoned the bicycle and slimes and escaped.
