On. the one hand it is recognised that the cost of living will be reduced. On the other hand it is recognised that it means a weakening' of Imperialistic bonds. NEW YORK, Jan. 29. The United States House of Representatives referred on Saturday to the Reciprocity Bill in the Committee _ of Ways and Means. The Bill is being considered as a whole, and cannot be amended. The Representatives are expected to pass the measure, but the Senate will probably defeat it, in spite of President Taft's energetic efforts.
