The country bowling clubs had rather a good time last week. On Monday Patea beat Wangamu on Wangamn green; and on Thursday Inglewood beat New Plymouth on the town greon At Hawera green on Saturday the holders of the challenge buttons ' (Phillips, Curtis, Dingle, Parrington) beat the challengers (Barnett, Keen, Foy and Parkinson), 29 to 15. ' A team of five rinks from Patea is expected at Hawera on Wednesday.
