RUSSIA AND THE JEWS.

ABROGATION OF TREATIES

NEW YORK Jan. 20. At a meeting of the Hebrew Congregations' Union^ held at the Astor Hotel, the abrogation of every treaty between the United States and Russia was advocated.

The reason given for such a step was that Russia had dishonored official passports when presented by Jews. It is stated that the resignation of the United States Ambassador to Turkey was caused by the slur cast by Russia on the Jewish people, which prevented him officially visiting Russia.
