WANGANUI, Jan. 26. For several months past a school attended by ten scholars has been conducted up the Waitotara river in a tent ten feet by twelve. As more children are now attending, the settlers have asked the Education Board to supply them with material for a rou°-h building. The Board has decided "to ask the Department for a grant for a suitable building, which it is to hohoped will be given. The Education Board has derided to forward the result of the District Hi-h fechool fire enquiry to the Department with :m intimation that it did not consider it necessary to hold a departmental enquiry.
