SYDNEY, Jan. 27. In the final Sheffield Shield match of the season, New South Wales, in the first innings, made 337. Bardsiey (78), Kelleway (24), Barbour (2), Waddy (36), McElhone (101), Hordern (27) and Cotter (22) were the chief scorers. Victoria lost no wickets for seven. Armstrong took three wickets for 55, Matthews three for 85, Layer two for 70, Kyle two for 90. The weather was fine, but the wicket was a bit soft. Bardsley played a fine chanceless innings, and McElhone a brilliant punishing innings. Macartney contributed another "duck."
