ARMY AND NAVY DISAFFECTED. CONSPIRACY TO RE-ESTABLISH THE EX-KING. .BY CABLE— PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT. PARIS, Dec. 30. Alarrrist telegrams from Lisbon state that the army an 9 navy are disaffected, and trade unions are bitterly opposed to the Government. The Daily Mail's Paris correspondent reports tfhat the British Minister at Lisbon has asked for the immediate despatch of a warship. He adds that the Government has arrested conspirators who were seeking to re-establish ex-King Manuel on the fhrone. i GOVERNMENT DECREE. LISBON, Dec. 30. A Government .decree provides penalties for offences against the Provisional Government, and those spreading false and alarming reports; also punishment for breach of military discipline. LABOR DEMANDS. ' OFFICIAL DISTRUST OF THE NAVY PARIS, Dee. 30. Le Temps stages that Labor organisations in Lisbon, are raising demands impossible of fulfilment. Numerous cases of insubordination have occurred in the army, and three cruisers have been sent from the Tagus on vsiricus pretexts.
