CHAIRMAN ATTEMPTS SUICIDE. V CA.P.LE— PRESS ASSOCIATION— COPYRIGHT. (Received Dec. 29, 10.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Dec. 28. The New York State Superintendent of Banks has closed the Northern Bank, New York, which has deposits exceeding one million pounds, on the ground of certain irregularities. Mr Robin, Chairman of the Bank Committee, entered a sanatorium on Saturday following mental breakdown. He attempted to commit suicide.
