GUN RUNNING.
(Received Dec. 29, 10 a.m.} LONDON, Dec. 28. The Westminster Gazette considers that gun running in the Gulf of Persia will not be stopped without the cooperation of France, who hitherto has not seen her way to relinquish her trading rights with Muscat. Meanwhile the partial remedy in England's hand is to stop the export of Home-made rifles which find their way to the north-western frontier via Muscat. The Morning Post, however, declares that the rifles are made chiefly in France and Belgium.
