The Rules of the Taranaki Athletio and Caledonian Association will be striotly adhered to, and copies may be obtained from the Seoretary. A full knowledge of the Rules will be expeoted from every competitor. Three competitors or no first prize; four or no second prize; and five or no third prize. Competitors for Novice One-mile Cyole Race, must be bona-fide residents of either Hawera, Eltham or Waimate Counties. The Society have the right to postpone the Sports in event of unsuitable weather. Nominations for the following events, 3, 8, 10. 14, 18, 21. 24. 25. will close with the Seoretary on THURSDAY, Ootpber 20, p,t 8 p.m., and must be acoompanied with the necessary amount of cash and correot performances for the last two years. If no performances during that period, the last three performances must be sent. Nominations with "Known to Handioapper" in place of performances will not be accepted. Handicaps will appear on FRIDAY, Ootiober 24. Acceptances for all open events will close at 11 a.m. on morning of Sports. • Nomination papers may be obtained from the Secretary, or Mr D. A. Stewart, Normanby. Children's Races during the day. Special prizes to be allotted later. Trains to suit northern and southern visitors. Band and Scottish Competitors to meet at the station and parade through the town. Sootoh Pipe Band will bo in attendance during the day. Admission, Is; Children under 12, 6d.
