; Private cable advices from London are to the effect that the prospects for cheese this coming season should be good as Canadian and United States shipments have not been in large compass. The butter exports of the Commonwealth nearly doubled during the first seven months of the current year as against last year for the corresponding period. The actual figures for the two peiods were: 1910, 35,999,9971b, and 1909, 18,503,1761b. Exports of butter in hundredweights from the Commonwealth and New Zealand during the 1909-10 season compared with the two previous seasons were as follow : — I 1907-8. 1908-9. 1909-10. i .Australia .. 451,636 323,436 577,557 N. Zealand 227,385 267,309 327,446 Totals .. 679,021 590.745 305,003
