New Zealand Loan and Mercantile , Agency Co.'s report: — At Palmerston \ North on Thursday we had a small en- ' toy of both sheep and cattle. Bidding , was brisk, and we had a total clearance. We quote: Sheep — Medium hoggets 10s , 5d to 12s Id, aged ewes in' lamb 13s lOd, ewss with lambs 14s 9d, store ewes 7s 6d. Cattle — Weaners 245, store cows £2 13s, forward cows £4 to £4 10s, cows j in calf £3 16s to £5, three-year steers I £5 18s, jwung bulls £3 5s to £3 17s 6d. Abraham and Williams report: At our Palmerston North sale on Thursday, the 18th inst., we only had a small yarding. Prices were well maiatained and sales weer effected at the following quotations: Hoggets 10s 7d to 13s, fat cows £5, forward cows £3 15s to £4 3s, springing cow.s £6 10s to £10 2s 6"d, springing heifers £5 15s, heifers in calf £1 I
