At the Haymarket on Saturday a fair number ol pigs were penned. Slips ' made 5s 6d, weaners 7s 6d to 10s, ! stores 14s 6d to 18s, porkers £1 2s 6d, sow in farrow £2 12s 6d. On Moaday I held a clearing sale at Onaero on account of Mr P. Hansen. I There was a good attendance, and the cows, which were in fair order and a I good-looking lot, sold .as follows : — Early calvers £6 10s to £7, later £4 15s to £6, store pigs 14s 6d, mower I £7, spring trap £7 10s, dray £10 10s, 8-months draught colt £10. Furniture j and sundries sold at prices in favor of | purchasers. j At Rahotu on Tuesday there a good yarding. Weaners made 32s to £2 'ss, yearling heifers £2 10s 6d v) £3, yearling steers £2 7s 6d, empty heifers £3 5s to £3 los, store cows £2 6s to £3 lls, old do. 15s to £1 13s 6d, forward store cows £3 18s to £4 10s, fat cows £5 17s 6d to £6 2s 6d, springing cows £6 to £7, bulls £3 14s to £o 17s 6d. Bidding was keen and everything sold well, prices being even throughout, the herd of 42 cows averaging £8 lls 6d. Early calvers made £7 10s to £11 15s, later M 2s 6d to £6 15s, store pigs 13s to 15s, Blips lls sd. On account of other vendors cows sold from £6 to £9 Iss. On Monday I held a clearing sale at Okato on account- of Mr W. Chowan, but the cows, which were rather on the old side and not in too good condition, realised for early calvers £6 to £9, later £4 to £5 15s, very late and empty j £3 to £3 15s, bull £3 17s 6d, sow and litter £3 2s 6d, mixed yearlings £3 12s. Sundries sold at usual rates* At Waiwakaiho on Thursday, despite the wet weather, there was a good yarding.
