FRIDAY, AUGUST 19. The Government Meteorologist telegraphed at 2 p.m.: — "Westerly moderate to strong winds, and squally at times; weather changeable; glass rise slowly, but fall after twenty-four hours; a storm area appeara >to be approaching from the westward following on the fall of glass."
