"PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, August 19. John Isherwood was convicted of perjury and fined £25. William Duncan Allen, a very old man, was competed of indecent assault, and sentenced to two years'. DTJNBDIN, August 19. Thomas McNamara and Joseph Francis Donnelly were found guilty of asSAulting and robbing James Black, the assault being accompanied with violence. Sentence was deferred. WELLINGTON, August 19. Catherine Moore, a middle-aged woman, was convicted on three charges of shop-lifting. Sentence was deferred till Saturday. In the case of Thomas Joseph Lloyd, charged with burglary, the jury failed to agree. Dong Hon, Chinese interpreter, was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment for assault.
