FIRE.

[PBBSH ASSOCIATION.]

WAIROA, May 24.

A five-roomed house at the heads, owned by Phillip S. Hill, was burned last evening. Nothing was saved. The owner went to lay poison in a hole for rats, and, the room being dark, he struck a match, the flame of which caught some loose scrim. The place being old and dry burned fiercely. Insurance — £150 on dwelling and £50* on furniture in the Victoria.
