BARQUE SOLGRAN ARRESTED.

A £500 SALVAGE CLAIM.

CHRISTCHURCH, May 15.

The barque Solgran has been "arrested" at Lyfrfcelton, at the instance of the Vice-Admiralty Court, on a claim made by Captain Calvert, of Hobart, for £500 salvage in respect to operations on the raver Derwent, Tasmania, on 27(th April last. Halliday, captain of the Solgran, states that when salved he made the usual verbal agreement with the master of the Beemere, the rescuing steamer, and that when the Solgran was towed to a place of safety he paid the money.
