BREAKING AND ENTERING.
[PIIESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, May 16. Martin Tier, on various charges of breaking and entering, was sentenced by the Chief Justice to-day to two years' imprisonment with hard labor. Henry Smith, who was found on premises without a lawful excuse, was sentenced to nine months. The case against Davis and Haines, charged with arson at Wanganui, is being re-heard to-day.
