Hqtelkeepers are receiving application daily. The lady members of the Hawera Golf Club have completed their competition for the trophy presented by Mr E. M. , Ghettle. .It resulted in a win for Mrs I McLean, whose score for the four ' rnuii'Ja was 439. -,cxt in order were Mr, .bell 443, and Miss Dou&las 499. Among the remits to be dealt with | at the Provincial Conference at Eltham i this week is one from Tarata branch inviting discussion on the subject of j turnip blight with the object of trying j to find a remedy. During discussion of the remits at Saturday afternoon's meeting of the Hawera branch it was stated, that the Government Biologist was endeavoring to solve the difficulty to which Tarata referred.
