At Messrs. Smith and Easton's mart, Hawera, on Saturday, a great salvage sale of various stocks from the Strand Arcade fire in Auckland will be hela. No reserve will be placed upon the articles. The sale will commence at 2 o'clock sharp. The annual meeting of the Hawera Acclimatisation Society will be held on Thursday evening, May 5. The Society are offering a £10 reward to any person getting a conviction against anyone shooting during the close season. Mr J. Norfolk, proprietor of the Normanby coach, notifies by advertisement that on and after May 2nd the fares between Hawera and Normanby will be one shilling each way. Beekeeping, Friday, 7.30.
