SERIOUS DAMAGE AT WAIROA.

WELLINGTON, March 31, Wairoa reports to hand state that the Nuhaka bridge, built by the Government three or four years ago at a cost of £3000 or £4000, was washed away, isolating the Nuhaka settlers. The Turiroa wharf has just floated past on its way to sea. / The Scamperdown bridge approach was washed away. The bridge is sagging in the centre, and is not hKely to stand through the night.
