CHRISTCHURCH, February 2 At a meeting of the North Canterbury centre of the League of Wheelmen last night, a lengthy report was received from the special commute© set up to enquire into irregularities in connection with the recent cycling road race from Timaru to Christchurch The report was adopted. J. Arnst, for accepting outsider pace during the race and refreshments at unauthorised stations, was disqualified for five years. R. Arrst, for continuing tq take part in the race after he had ceased to be a competitor, was disqualified for five years, and. R. Rodgers, for a similar offence, was fined £5 and disqualified for twelve months. A. L. B. Smith, for continuing to take part in the race after he had ceased to be a competitor, and for receiving refreshments from an outside source, was fined £5.
