Leaping competition (steeplechase style). Each horse to carry not leas than list. First prize, £10— A. Mitchell's Laotofas 1. A splendid competition, during which Mr Halcombe, on Midnight, got a nasty spill. Pony leaping competition, for ponies not over 14.2 hands, ridden by boy or girl under 17— P. Sole's Black Jack (I. Cardiff Dairy Company won both first prizes in cheese section. Ngaere entered for both classes, but the cheeses were sent by mistake on to Auckland.
