DUNEDIN, July 22.

The headmaster of a suburban school reported to his committee last night: — "Several boys, who did good work in. the Fourth Standard, I found doing poor w«rk in the Fifth Standard. On making enquiries I found that eight of the boys were working ten and ten and a half hours daily. Some get up at 3.30 to work on milk carts or deliver newspapers. These children are quite Tistless in school. It is certainly not fair to hold teachers responsible for the educational advancement of these children." , ' •
