A MAN DROWNED.

J&ftoTHER WAINGONGORO FORD- , ING FATALITY. Information was received in town early yesterday evening that a man named George Bollond, single, a farmer residing a€ "Waihij liad been drowned in the "Waingongoro river near the pipe bridge. The police dragged the river last night, but up to 11 o'clock this morning the body had not been recovered. It appears -that the deceased with his brother, Mr T. Bollond, were fording the river at Bryant's crossing in a spring dray, when by some mischance it capsized, pinning ' the occupants underneath. As there was' a good fresh on the horse and dray were carried down stream. Mr T. Bollond managed to get out in an exhausted state, but the was washed away with the cart.
