PALMERSTON N., January 30. Herbert Bergstrom, on remand, charged v» itli stealing 202 sheep, was brought before the Court this morning and further remanded to Monday week. Bail was lixpd at £200 and two sureties of £100 each. Sheep sold by Bergstrom have been traced by Constable Tanner ar.d Detective Quirke to the Balfour Estate at Pahiatua. They wore identified by the manager of the estate, for whom the accused worked for twelve months. The police stated that other charges would probably be laid against the accused.
