FIRE ON GERMAN STEAMER.

TPER PRESS ASSOCIATION.! BRISBANE, January 29. The fire on the Tubingen has been extinguished. It is believed 1000 bales of wool and 2-50 tons of wheat "have been destroyed.

A cable yesterday stated that the North German Lloyd's cargo steamer Tubingen was on fire in the No. 1 hold, which contained 1000 bales of wool and 10Q tons of wheat.
